1. Who we are

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern the use of Mektebi, the online platform at mektebi.ch, which is owned and operated by:

FETOSOFT DOOEL
Goce Delchev 2/32
1300 Kumanovo, North Macedonia
Email: support@fetosoft.com

FETOSOFT DOOEL is a company registered in the Republic of North Macedonia. By accessing or using Mektebi, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.

2. What Mektebi is

Mektebi is a platform for Islamic education that lets mosques and their religious schools (mektebs) organise courses and manage their students, parents and teachers. The educational content is created and published by each school and its teachers. FETOSOFT only provides and hosts the technology; it does not author, endorse, or take responsibility for the teaching materials or other content that schools publish.

3. Accounts and eligibility

A school registers for an account, and its administrators add or invite teachers, students and parents. You agree to provide accurate information, to keep your login credentials confidential, and to be responsible for activity under your account. We recommend enabling two-factor authentication. You must have the authority to register the people you add — in particular, schools and parents are responsible for any consent required to add a child.

4. Roles and responsibilities for content and data

Each school is responsible for the content it publishes and for the personal data of its members; in data-protection terms the school is the controller and FETOSOFT is its processor (under the Law on Personal Data Protection of the Republic of North Macedonia and, for schools in Switzerland, the revised Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection — see our Privacy Policy). Schools and teachers retain ownership of the content they create and grant FETOSOFT the limited licence needed to host and display it within the platform.

5. Acceptable use

When using Mektebi you agree not to:

  • publish unlawful, hateful, or infringing content, or content that endangers or exploits minors;
  • infringe the intellectual-property or privacy rights of others;
  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to the platform, other accounts, or other schools' data;
  • disrupt or misuse the service, or use it for any purpose other than education.

6. Zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users

Children learn on Mektebi, so we hold everyone to a strict standard: there is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. In addition to the rules above, you must not post, send or share content that is unlawful, hateful, harassing, threatening, sexually explicit, violent or defamatory, or that mocks or insults religion or any person. Bullying, spam and impersonating someone else are not allowed either.

Anyone can report a message with Report message and block a person with Block, directly in the app and on the website. Reported messages are reviewed by the administrators of the mosque concerned and by FETOSOFT. FETOSOFT reviews reports within 24 hours, removes offending content, and suspends or removes the accounts of users who post it. You can also write to us at any time at support@fetosoft.com.

This does not change who is responsible for teaching content: each school (the mosque and its teachers) remains responsible for the courses and materials it publishes, as set out in sections 2 and 4.

7. Intellectual property

The Mektebi platform, its software, design and trademarks are the property of FETOSOFT DOOEL and may not be copied, distributed or modified without prior written consent. Content published by schools and teachers remains the property of those schools and teachers.

8. Privacy and data protection

Your use of Mektebi is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains what personal data is processed and on what basis. As a controller, every school concludes a data-processing agreement (DPA) with FETOSOFT: it is presented for acceptance when the school account is set up and can be downloaded at any time. Schools in Switzerland accept a Swiss-law-aligned DPA (revFADP, FDPIC, with the standard contractual clauses covering FETOSOFT's access from North Macedonia).

9. Fees

Mektebi is provided free of charge. We do not process payments and do not collect or store any card or bank details. If this changes in the future, we will update these Terms and our Privacy Policy before doing so.

10. Availability and disclaimer

We work to keep the platform available, accurate and up to date, but we provide it "as is" and cannot guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that the content published by schools is complete or correct. We may carry out maintenance or change features over time.

11. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, FETOSOFT is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, the platform, nor for the content that schools publish. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

12. Suspension and termination

You may stop using Mektebi at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if these Terms are breached or where necessary to protect the platform or its users. On termination, data is handled as described in the Privacy Policy.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may amend these Terms from time to time. Changes take effect when posted here, and continued use of Mektebi after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of North Macedonia, and the courts of Skopje have jurisdiction — without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection and data-protection rights you have under the law of your country of residence. Users and schools in Switzerland keep the protection of the revised Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection and may turn to the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC); the data-processing agreement governs data-protection matters between a school and FETOSOFT.
