Delete your Mektebi account
You can have your Mektebi account and the data linked to it deleted at any time. Mektebi is developed and operated by FETOSOFT DOOEL.
In the app or on the website
Sign in, go to Settings → Danger zone → Delete account and confirm.
By email
If you can't sign in, or the deletion doesn't go through, write to support@fetosoft.com from your account's email address, with the subject Delete my account. We will then delete your account.
Students and parents can also ask their mosque to remove them from the mekteb.
What is deleted, and what is kept
- Deleted: your sign-in details (email address, password, phone number, profile picture), your learning progress, your notifications and the devices registered for push notifications. Your name is replaced with “Deleted user” and your profiles in each mosque are deactivated.
- If you own a mosque's account, you can't delete your account yourself, so the mosque's data stays safe. First transfer ownership to another admin, or write to us.
- Records your mosque keeps about its classes, such as grades, attendance, certificates or handed-in work (including recordings), belong to the mosque. To have them deleted, please contact your mosque.
- We delete or anonymise the data within 90 days. Copies in our backups are removed in the normal backup rotation. Records we must keep by law are kept only as long as the law requires.

Notifications
You can turn notifications on or off at any time in your device settings:
- iPhone: Settings → Notifications → Mektebi
- Android: Settings → Apps → Mektebi → Notifications
